Two bands from Jersey, Titus Andronicus and Real Estate, will kick off the weekend with a FREE show at The Whitney Museum of American Art this Friday (7/10) at 7 pm.  The show is part of the Whitney Live series which features two bands every Friday night in July.  

Titus Andronicus play rough pop-punk with sloppy guitars and screaming vocals which all comes across as hi-energy teenage angst…though I’m fairly certain they’re past their teens.

Real Estate

Real Estate play chilled out psychedelic beach-pop with sparse vocals and a stoner mentality.

So let Real Estate unwind you after the work week and then let Titus rile you up for your Friday night.  You’ll be out of there by 9…and you know you’ve never been to the Whitney.  Oh, stop lying.
